4th Grade - Waitley

Welcome to fourth grade!

There are so many wonderful things we are going to learn this year. As fourth graders you will deepen your ability to read to learn. The text you will read daily will be for entertainment, to inform and to learn. Along with this reading, you will learn to write with purpose and to communicate ideas. In Social Studies and Science we will learn all things that make Utah the great state that it is. Finally, in Mathematics we will deepen our understanding of numbers and their size. One of the really exciting aspects of fourth grade math is Fractions! As learners we will work with fractions and build a solid understanding of what they are and how they work. First and foremost, however, we will make mistakes, challenge ourselves and learn from all of this. Our minds will grow with each new day!
