Lottery Applications are available Tuesday, April 3, 2018
Lottery Applications are due In Front Office on Friday, May 25, 2018, before 4:00 p.m.

              NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE AND TIME
              NO MAIL OR FAXES ACCEPTED

Castlebay Lane Charter Elementary School cannot and will not be held responsible for any lost, delayed, misdirected, mutilated, indecipherable, or illegible lottery applications regardless of whether caused by the reason of a force of nature, the conduct of any Castlebay Lane Charter personnel, or the U.S. Postal Office.
       
Lottery applicants are strongly encouraged to hand-deliver their completed applications to the front office during its normal business hours (7:30-4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday). Only fully completed, timely received lottery applications will be eligible for the lottery drawing.

On the day of the lottery drawing a priority waiting list will be established. Being on the list does not guarantee admittance to Castlebay Lane Charter Elementary School. The number of available seats in each grade level may not be determined until after the start of school year. Once the number of seats Is determined, enrollment offers will be made.

NOT EVERY GRADE LEVEL MAY HAVE AVAILABLE SEATS.
 
Those selected will be notified by phone or email. Offers must be accepted within one (1) business day of notification and the enrollment packet must be returned within two (2) days of the acceptance phone call in order to secure enrollment in Castlebay Lane Charter Elementary School.

The lottery drawing will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. at Castlebay Lane Charter PAC.  Families will be able to observe the lottery in person but do not need to be present to be placed on the list.  Lottery number assignments will be available on June 8, 2018.
 
Charter Policy Regarding Order of Admissions
     1. First Priority: All students residing within the Castlebay Lane Charter
         boundaries defined by the LAUSD
     2. Second Priority: Non-resident lottery applicants with siblings
         already attending Castlebay
        (When submitting lottery applications for siblings, each applicant will be given
          an individual lottery number for admittance)
     3. Third Priority: Non-resident lottery applicants
